Kadlec Clinic - A Higher Level of Care...

In Your Neighborhood

The Tri-Cities region is expanding, and with its growth, the need for medical providers located in areas convenient to residents is in high demand. Individuals without a primary health care provider are more likely to use emergency departments, be hospitalized for potentially avoidable conditions, be diagnosed with late stage cancer and delay receiving adequate prenatal care.1

Kadlec Health System is addressing this concern head on. “We recognize that a critical component in achieving a healthy community is not just having quality care providers available to community members, but also having convenient access to those providers,” said Rand Wortman, CEO of Kadlec Health System. In an effort to expand primary and specialized care to area residents in need, Kadlec Health System has developed Kadlec Clinic - a physician governed, physician led, multispecialty practice with offices in west Pasco, Richland, south Richland, south Kennewick and West Richland.

“The efforts of Kadlec Clinic are to bring care to where folks are living,” said Dr. W. Hugh Maloney, president of Kadlec Clinic. “Prior to the implementation of Kadlec Clinic, residents in the region’s underserved areas would have to travel to neighboring cities or across town to receive medical care,” Dr. Maloney continued. “Now, Kadlec Clinic is in their neighborhood.”

Kadlec Clinic’s governing board is comprised solely of physicians representing the community and the clinic members. Although the buildings are owned by Kadlec Health System, Kadlec Clinic doctors operate and manage their practices. Current physician specialties include family practice, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine, geriatrics, cardiovascular surgery and plastic/reconstructive surgery.

“As the health care needs of area residents increase, Kadlec Clinic will continue to grow and expand its practices to meet the demand,” Dr. Maloney said. With over 31 physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners, Kadlec Clinic is providing a higher level of care to area residents in locations convenient for everyone.
