Washington Health Foundation 2008 Healthiest State
Grants Awarded
The
Healthiest State Grants Program is a rural grants
program encouraging the creation of policies, programs
and environments that support the action areas for the
Healthiest State in the Nation Campaign: Promoting
Community Health, Investing in Prevention, Increasing
Value in Health Services, Protecting against Injury &
Disease, Avoiding Addictions, and Engaging in Health
Habits. The 2008 Grants Program awarded grants following
deadlines in March and August, with a total of $306,800
awarded through the year for community work with
Healthiest State action areas, Health Disparities, and
the Unnatural Causes discussion series.
