Academy of Family Physicians
The American Academy of Family Physicians is the national association of family
doctors. It was founded in 1947 to promote and maintain high quality standards
for family doctors who are providing continuing comprehensive health care to the
public. -
American
College of Nurse Practitioners
- The American College of Nurse Practitioners (ACNP), located in Washington, DC,
is a national, non-profit membership organization whose
mission is to ensure a solid policy and
regulatory foundation that enables Nurse Practitioners to continue providing
accessible, high quality healthcare to the nation. -
American
Medical Association
- The American Medical Association helps doctors help patients by uniting
physicians nationwide to work on the most important professional and public
health issues. -
Federal Office of Rural Health Policy

The Office of Rural Health
Policy (ORHP) promotes better health care service in rural America by informing
and advising the Department of Health and Human Services on matters affecting
rural hospitals, and health care, co-ordinating activities within the department
that relate to rural health care, and maintaining a national information
clearinghouse.

National
Association of County & City Health Officials, Rural Health - The goals of
NACCHO’s rural health project are three-fold: to better understand the current
local governmental public health infrastructure in rural communities, to
identify the public health infrastructure and practice needs of rural
communities, and to help meet those defined needs. -
National
Rural Health Association
- The parent organization of the Washington Rural Health Association, promoting
leadership, communication, education, research, and advocacy since 1978.

Association of Washington Public Hospital
Districts - The Association of Washington Public Hospital Districts has
served as the trade association for Washington State's public hospital districts
since 1952. The Association's activities can generally be divided into two
categories: education and advocacy. -
Optometric Physicians of Washington - The
Optometric Physicians of Washington (OPW) is the professional association of
Washington State optometric physicians affiliated with the American Optometric
Association. The mission of the Optometric Physicians of Washington is to
enhance the vision care and eye health of the public and to promote the
continued development of the profession of optometry. -
Rural Health Clinic Association of Washington
- The Rural Health Clinic Association of Washington dedicates itself to maintaining
access to health care in rural areas and provide a voice for Rural Health
Clinics, to citizens, legislators, as well as State and Federal agencies. -
Washington Academy of Family Physicians -
The Washington Academy of Family
Physicians (WAFP) members are physicians who specialize in Family Medicine,
residents in Family Medicine training programs, and medical students interested
in the specialty. The WAFP works to influence health care policy by encouraging
its members to take leadership positions through political activism, education,
advocacy, and research. -
Washington Academy of Physician Assistants - WAPA supports Washington PAs
with efforts in such areas as diversity, continuing education, legislation,
health and well-being, and quality assurance. -
Washington Association of Community and Migrant
Health Centers - As a membership organization, WACMHC's mission is to
promote health and human services for the underserved people in Washington
State. -
Washington Biotechnology and Biomedical
Association - The WBBA is a not-for-profit association of Washington state
biotechnology and biomedical companies, research firms and related organizations. -
Washington Osteopathic Medical Association - The WOMA strives to ensure the
scientific, safe, and humane practice of Osteopathic Medicine as a unique health
care profession; the continuing education of its physician members; and the
preservation in perpetuity of their scope of practice and licensure for the
enduring benefit of society. -
Washington State Dental Association - The Washington State Dental
Association (WSDA) has been the voice of dentistry in Washington since its
inception in 1887. With 3,800 members strong (over 80 percent of practicing
dental professionals in the state), the Association exists to promote oral
health of the highest quality. -
Washington State Dental Hygienists' Association
- The mission of WSDHA is to increase awareness of and access to quality oral
health care, to promote the highest standards of research and education,
licensure and practice for dental hygienists, and to represent and promote the
interests of the dental hygiene profession, as a means to improve the public's
health.

Washington State Hospital Association - WSHA takes a major leadership role
in issues that affect delivery, quality, accessibility, affordability and
continuity of healthcare. -
Washington State Medical Association - The objective of the WSMA is to
promote the art and science of medicine, to protect and improve the health of
the public, and to serve and provide leadership. -
Washington State Office of
Community and Rural Health -The mission of the OCRH is to connect
communities and resources to develop accessible and sustainable healthcare
systems in Washington State. -
Washington State Nurses Association - As the largest nursing association in
Washington State, WSNA represents more than 13,000 RNs including staff nurses,
nurse educators, nurse practitioners, school nurses and public health nurses.

Washington State Pharmacy Association - The
Washington State Pharmacy Association exists to support and advance the practice
of pharmacy to ensure that the public receives optimal pharmaceutical care. -
Washington State Public Health Association -
WSPHA, an affiliate of the American Public Health
Association, has been a leading voice for public health since 1935. -
Washington State Society of
Anesthesiologists - The WSSA was formed to advance the science and art of
anesthesiology, and to stimulate interest and promote progress in that
specialty. Programs include continuing medical education and legislative action.
